Travelling with Purpose: Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

For more than 25 years, we've been showcasing the extraordinary beauty, wildlife, history and culture of Sydney and the Blue Mountains. As a company that operates within some of Australia's most treasured natural environments, we recognise our responsibility to help preserve them for future generations.

Sustainability in Action

Sustainability influences many of the decisions we make each day, from how we design our tours to how we manage our transport operations and work with local businesses.

Our small group touring model helps reduce the impact of tourism by consolidating guests into shared transport, carefully planning efficient routes and encouraging responsible behaviour in natural environments. We also help visitors enjoy the Blue Mountains respectfully by promoting minimal-impact travel practices and supporting conservation efforts through our National Parks operating permits.

Supporting Wildlife and Conservation

Australia's unique wildlife is a highlight for many of our guests, and protecting it is important to us. We proudly support the Australian Koala Foundation through its adoption program, helping contribute to koala conservation, research and habitat protection initiatives.

Our guides also encourage respectful wildlife encounters and help visitors understand the importance of protecting habitats for future generations.

Supporting Local Communities

Sustainability is about people as well as the environment. We work closely with local businesses, attractions, restaurants and tourism operators throughout Sydney and the Blue Mountains, helping ensure that tourism delivers meaningful benefits to the communities we visit.

By partnering with local suppliers and including locally operated experiences in our itineraries, we help support regional employment, businesses and economic growth.

Respecting Culture and Country

We acknowledge and respect the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate, including the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples of the Blue Mountains and Sydney region.

We are committed to presenting Aboriginal culture and history respectfully and helping visitors gain a deeper appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of these remarkable destinations.

A Journey of Continuous Improvement

Sustainability is not a destination but an ongoing journey. We continue to look for practical ways to reduce our environmental footprint, support conservation, strengthen local communities and improve our operations.

When you travel with Anderson's Tours, you're helping support a shared commitment to responsible tourism that protects the places we love while creating memorable experiences for visitors from around the world.
